The Picks were with Buddy Holly from the beginning. They are not at all some vocal group that hijacked Buddy Holly's work. 8. This is a well recorded and good sounding album. Although it was remixed and produced decades after Buddy's death, it still retains the feel and essence of "early rock and roll". The Picks don't drown out Buddy, they just compliment his sound. Just like the Picks did from the very beginning. On Buddy's first album, the "Chirping Crickets"/5(7).
